Akkus in die USA - Update
In Sachen "Lithium-Ionen-Akku und Lithium-Gramm-Gehalt bei Reisen in die USA" eine Antwort-Mail vom Canon Professional Service Department in Amsterdam:
"Technical information on our most powerful battery (LP-E4 for the EOS-1D Mark III series) specifies the following:
3 cells, 11.1 V, 2300 mAh

With this information Mr Hirschler may calculate the approximate amount using the method mentioned by him below.
As -to our knowledge- photographers traveling with our equipment have never been negatively confronted with such legislation, we do not see a necessity to investigate this matter further at this point."
Das bedeutet also für die EOS-1D Mark III: 2,3 x 0,3 x 3 = 2,07 Gramm Lithium. Also weit unter der 8-Gramm-Grenze. Wie der Service auf Englisch mitteilt - das ist schon der stärkste Akku, den Canon im Programm hat. Und Probleme sind bisher ebenfalls nicht bekannt geworden.
